Research and Publications
My research work has focused on understanding the biological mechanisms that underlie complex skin diseases, with particular emphasis on fibrosis, abnormal wound healing, and rare inherited dermatologic conditions. This work has spanned basic, translational, and clinical domains and has informed both scientific understanding and clinical practice.
Research Focus Areas
• Keloidal scarring, skin fibrosis and abnormal wound healing
• Keloid pathogenesis and extracellular matrix biology
• Genetic and molecular mechanisms of skin disease
• Translational approaches to complex dermatologic conditions
Translational Perspective
A central feature of my work has been the integration of laboratory-based investigation with clinical observation. By studying disease mechanisms in parallel with patient presentations, my research has emphasized biological relevance and clinical applicability. This translational perspective continues to inform how I approach complex and treatment-resistant skin conditions in practice.
